For the artificial intelligence and machine learning industry, and for those working in tech as a whole, OpenAI’s chatbot represents a true crossing of the Rubicon. We’re at the start of an incredibly exciting era that will fundamentally transform the way information is accessed, content is created, customer needs are served, and businesses are run. Companies that act first and most aggressively stand to create an outsize advantage over those who hesitate, elevating employee capabilities, delighting customers, and introducing powerful new business models. Data detectives will need to be able to identify and analyze complex patterns and develop algorithms to solve specific problems. With the increasing adoption of chatbots and generative tools such as ChatGPT, Bing Chat, or Google Bard, generative AI is becoming a common tool for communication and marketing. Generative AI is a form of AI that uses prompts or stimuli to produce content or conversations, as opposed to traditional AI which focuses on patterns, decisions, or data classification.
